An "Appealing" Halloween

For Halloween weekend this year me and Brad decided to head down to Utah and jump on the fun bus with Christie and Mike. The night consisted of lots of food from the all you can eat buffet and lots of penny slot machines. Christie was the only one who walked away a winner.

On Saturday we drove down to Park City. While trying to decide what to do, someone got the bright idea to dress me and Christie up in me and Brad's banana Halloween costumes and see if we could get some candy trick-or-treating. We hit the jackpot! As long as we pulled the costumes down over our faces and didn't make direct eye contact no one said anything. Everyone loved our banana outfits!

All in all the weekend was a success!

This weekend is fall break at USU

So Lauren got to come home and play with me. I have missed her so much and it was so good to see her. we went out to lunch and then afterward found this fabulous find.

We found this beaut at the D.I. for only 6 dollars!

So we called Brad and he helped us bring it home and we got right to work.

6 dollars, and two cans of spray paint later!

The Final product! and for only 12 Dollars all together!
(Just don't look at it in direct lighting)

Brad Killed a deer. He is such a manly man hunter!

Also,

I am only excited that is getting cold because I get to use this again

We got one for our wedding and I LOVE it! it makes your hot chocolate so frothy, mmmm I love it! I mean its no cocomotion but I think I like this better because all you do is throw it into the micowave and a few minutes later you are in hot cocoa heaven!

Baptisms and Bridal Showers

This morning my cute little niece MaCayle got baptized! She was so cute and excited. I also had the opportunity to give the talk on baptism at the baptism. She asked me a few months back with the funniest little picture she drew of the two of us together. We are both standing outside with flowers all around us and I am only taller then her in the picture is because I am standing on a rock. I love it, it totally cracks me up!

After the baptism was Lexie's Bridal shower. Brianne made these, and mmmm mmmm they where good!

And last night we had one last girls night before Lexie gets married.

It was a busy, fun weekend for sure.

2 years ago today......

was my LAST first date because 2 years ago today was me and Brad's first date. Since our first date I knew he was something special - something I wanted to pursue :). From the first kiss to the first " I love you's " my feelings for him were so very strong. We did the long distance relationship and let me tell you, there were some definite hard times, but looking back now I have NO regrets and I can say loud and proud that it was well worth every minute of the MANY drives we ( mostly me ) did from either Logan to Blackfoot, or Blackfoot to Logan. I love him so much and I am so glad that we worked through time and distance to be able to be together FOREVER.

A Whale of a Tale

I know what you're thinking and yes, I did catch that huge bass all by myself. This sweet looking fish just so happens to be my first fish I have ever caught and been able to reel all the way in. I'm quite proud of it so I needed to share it with the world.  Its true what they say, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” I'm for sure going to eat for a lifetime if I keep getting fish like this!!!

High on life

This past week Brad and I had the pleasure of joining his parents on a road trip to a fly-in in Fall River Mills California. It was a fun filled week full of flying. Brad's only comment on the whole week is that it was awesome! Brad also decided to grow a beard, so by the end of the week he was pretty hairy. here are some pics and a little video of Brad flying high.

Us during the drive there
The progression of Brad's facial hair that is now gone.

And a vid. of Brad flying. Cute little Lanaya Petersen makes a few appearances.

Then after a lost hitch, a tire blowout and about 14.5 hours we made it home back to Blackfoot safely and all in one piece!

It was a great week and Brad is so excited for next year! Thanks Brady and Karin for the wonderful week!

The Last of the Old West

Today was our six month anniversary! To celebrate we headed to Jackson Hole to spend a fun filled day. We didn't really have any plans so we just ended up walking around for hours. We ate lunch at a little Mexican restaurant called Merry Piglets. Weird name for a restaurant but it was really good food! It had some great homemade salsa that I think Jeff would of loved! After lunch we ended up to some random wild life museum right out of Jackson called National Museum of Wild Life Art but it was super expensive to look at weird animal art so we just ended up posing by the sculptures outside and looking for "Marmot" because they where EVERYWHERE and HUGE! After that we tried to go down the Alpine Slide and play some putt-putt golf but a huge rainstorm started so we just ended up heading back home to Blackfoot. Even though we didn't do much it was still such a fun day. I can't believe it has already been six months. It seems like it was just yesterday that it we were braving the snow storm of the century to be married. It for sure has been a great six months!

There where signs like this all over outside the museum.

Us posing at the museum.

The perfect ending to the perfect day was being able to stop for Square Ice Cream!

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!

The Olsen family has been popping out babies like crazy lately. In the past month there have been four new additions.

Baby Sophie arrived first. She is so stinking cute! She looks alot like Kara, which I'm sure Kara loves, seeing as the other three look like clones of Chris.

Baby number two belongs to Annie and Jeff. Baby Beck is so cute, except for when he vomits on me! He was born April 30th.

Missy and Josh added there 4th child on the thirteenth. What a great day to be born on ( seeing as it was the day that marked the 5th month of marriage for me a Brad)!

And last but not even close to least

Introducing Madysen!!!!!!

She was born on the 15th and was 7 lbs 10 oz. The paper work is all finalized so they should be headed home soon! She is such a special addition to our family and we are all very excited to meet her!
