Days Three and Four

On Saturday Brad was able to get out of bed twice while wearing his brace. The first time he was able to walk to the door of his room and the second time he walked across the hall and back to his room which was awesome. The things that are bothering him the most are not his back or leg, but is stomach aches and a canker sore he has under his tongue. He also had lots of great visitors on Saturday.

Sunday morning was not good for him. His stomach was hurting really bad so he didn't sleep very well Saturday night. He got out of bed once with his brace and went in a wheel chair to get an x-ray that he had to stand for the whole time. He did a great job and Doctor Allen said that the x-ray looks great and that everything is in the right place. He didn't get to do any physical therapy though because his blood count was really low and he needed another blood transfusion, in which he got 2 units of blood. After the blood transfusion he was feeling better then I had seen him since the accident happened. The color was back in his face and he was able to keep his eyes open for long periods of times. He also was able to get all of the IV's out and start taking oral pain killers so that is a huge step.
