Great to be 8 .... Months!

Our cute little man is eight months old.

He weighs 16 lbs and is 27 inches long.

He has discovered the toilet paper and loves to eat it. He cries when we take it away from him. I fear he is going to be the little boy who eats paste in kindergarten.

He has gotten really good at walking along things. He is constantly on the move.

He has discovered his favorite blanket, and drags it around the house with him everywhere. He attacks it every time he sees it.

He finally will sit up in the bathtub like a big boy. He used to cry because he hated water but now, thanks to his whale pool, he is a total water champ.

His first tooth came in on April 28. Its on the bottom and so stinking cute!

He can now eat dry snacks like cereal and chunkier baby food without gagging. He hasn't quite got the fine motor skills down though to pick the food up and put it in his mouth.

We pushed him on the swings for the first time and he loved it so much. He was all smiles the whole time.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Freeman got Nixon this sweet Mickey Mouse train that Nixon loves to push around all day long. It is his new favorite toy.

This was the first time I caught him playing with the toilet paper

He loves being in the garage with daddy doing man things

Nixon's first Easter.

I love Easter! It has always been my favorite holiday. When I was little my family would make it so fun with crazy Easter egg hunts and awesome new spring school clothes and dresses.

Brad was a victim of my love of Easter while we were dating. I bought him our first pet. A Bunny named Bunny. I loved Bunny! Brad on the other hand..... Lets just say I have been told if I buy another bunny it will be killed...
I was so excited to have someone else to share my love of Easter with this year. I think it is safe to say that Nixon loves it just as much as me!

Nixon with all his loot. He was so excited for all his fun stuff.
Daddy got him bubbles, he doesn't quite know what to think of them. Whenever we blow them for him he just stares at them straight faced.

I made the boys matching Easter shirts.

The Olsen cousins getting geared up to hunt for eggs. Nixon was so excited.
He got 4 whole eggs

He even got one with a dollar bill stuffed in it! Score!
After the Easter egg hunt and a mean game of football between the dads we headed over the Grandma and Grandpa Scotts where we hunted for our Baskets that the Easter Bunny hid and Nixon was given the cutest pillow pet. He loves to snuggle it.

The only thing that is disappointing is that we are going to have to wait a year for Easter to come again.

Seven

I can't believe Nixon is already 7 months old!
He is just getting the funniest personality and is growing into such a big boy. He sat up by himself for the first time on March 11 and a few days later started pulling him self up onto everything. He now walks along things. He falls a lot but he always just cries a little and then gets right back up.

Something else fun is he has started dancing whenever he hears music. he sways back and forth, I love it.

He also likes to chew on all the furniture.

This is how I find him in the mornings and after all his naps, just standing there waiting for me.
We took him swimming a few weekends ago with some of our nieces and nephews. It took him a while to like the water, but he loved sitting on the steps with me and liked brad walking around bobbing him in and out of the water.

(excuse how bad the adults look in this picture)
Nixon went on his first 4-wheeler ride this month. It rained.

He also really loves playing xbox with his dad. He is obsessed with the cords.
